A Unique Vision For The Arts
Who We Are...
The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is a focus for all that's entertaining, moving and wonderful in the arts. Our goal is to delight you, entertain you, challenge you, and help you explore new vistas.
What We Do...
We produce musicals, comedies and dramas. We host visiting performers, musicians, vocalists, artists, puppeteers and more. We are theater, with a 349-seat main stage house and two smaller venues for youth and experimental theater. We are a gallery for the visual arts. We are a center of learning. And we are the community, taking our offerings to the world as we invite the world to us. We are the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
The Theater Series
Each year the Arts Center produces five plays or musicals, from concept to curtain call, featuring outstanding direction, superb production design and talented performers.
The Presentations Series
The Arts Center offers great performances throughout the season for every taste, and presents jazz, performing artists, contemporary music and world dance, as well as youth shows and programs.
Visual Arts
The exhibitions in the Walter Greer Gallery - from national exhibits to statewide exchanges to community artistry - showcase an exciting mix of media, styles and themes for all ages and interests.
Education Programs
The Education Program offers visual and performance workshops, lectures, field trips and Artists-in-Education residencies, creating unique youth and adult learning experiences.
Community Festivals
The Community Outreach Program features a number of free outdoor festivals and concerts, including the Community Holiday Tree Lighting, the Taste of Gullah, Youth ArtsFest and Family Fiesta Latina, featuring local, as well as nationally recognized artists.
