Our Instructors

Alana Adams received her BFA in Art Education at Georgia State University with an emphasis in ceramics and sculpture.  Since receiving her PK-12 certification in 2001, she has gone on to teach art and pottery to children and adults in both private and public institutions.  Alana specializes in the development of arts-integrated curricula and is the Director of Education at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.

Yostie Ashley is a story telling puppeteer who has served as an artist-in-residence with the S.C. Arts Commission and continues to be a popular presenter throughout the state. She holds education degrees from Florida State University and the University of South Carolina

Caroline Hoadley is a lifelong Dance Artist with over 30 years experience teaching dance, performing, and creating choreography for age 3-adult in dance studios/schools, pre-schools, public schools, private schools, and universities. Caroline is a Certified Member of Dance Educators of America.

Natasha Lawrence is a professional calligrapher and instructor, recently relocating from central Florida where her workshops were well received. She is also an award-wining photographer, a freelance service journalist and destination writer for magazines and travel sites on the Internet. Having lived in Southeast Alaska for several years, she participates as a lecturer on cruise ships’ enrichment programs on the Inside Passage. She is a member of the Carolina Lettering Arts Society and the Greater Charleston Chamber of Commerce.

Addison Palmer is a wildlife and landscape painter from Hilton Head Island, SC.  A gifted artist since he was a child, Addison attended Brevard College before moving to St. Simons Island, GA to open his own gallery in 1994. You can find Addison’s original artwork at the Red Piano Art Gallery on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and galleries throughout the Atlantic Coast.  His studio is in Winston-Salem, NC.  To view his portfolio, please visit www.addisonpalmer.com.

Jamie Richey is a filmmaker and photographer originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She received her BA in Film and Photography from Elon University. Her photography has garnered several accolades including numerous solo and group shows, advertisement and scholarship, as well as honors from juried competitions. Jamie is currently completely her Masters degree in Art History at the Savannah College of Art and Design and is the Education Coordinator at the Arts Center.
